Thinking about the next step in your career path?

Come to a value-centred career counselling session

  • Because time is your most valuable resource.

Much of the time spent awake is spent working and studying. By making an impact on the world through your work, you can spend your time in line with your values. Career planning is therefore worth investing in.

  • Because it's easy to forget about career planning in the midst of everyday life.

By booking an appointment for career advice, you are one step closer to a carefully considered career plan.

  • Because new perspectives are useful.

All our career counsellors are trained volunteers interested in effective altruism. We help you find new perspectives on your career issues and provide you with tools to find out how you can do as much good as possible through your work.

What is career guidance?

Our career advice is value-driven and tailored to your needs. We usually start with a one-hour meeting to discuss your current situation, career and values issues, and how to move forward in the direction you want to go. You can attend as many counselling sessions as you like, and talk to our different counsellors to get various perspectives on your situation.

Effective Altruism Hungary organises career counselling and we are particularly interested in helping you do as much good as possible throughout your career. However, counselling always starts with your values, your life situation, and your interests.

Our career counselling is free of charge and we can offer it according to the capacity of our volunteers. We have plenty of space, so feel free to sign up for a counselling session!

For whom and when?

We recommend career counselling especially for students, recent graduates and those considering a career change, but you can also benefit from our advice in other life situations.

Topics for discussion in career counselling can include:

How can I develop career capital during my studies to help me get my dream job when I graduate?

What should I consider when thinking about my next career move?

Where to start with career planning?

Should I stay in my current job or consider a career change?

What are my values?

How do my values influence the career decisions I make?

Whether you want to confirm your current plans or you are planning a career for the first time and don't know where to start, please feel free to contact us!

Are you interested in career guidance but don't know where to start? Are you unsure if career guidance is right for you, or do you find it difficult to fill in the application form?

Now you can book an appointment for a quick consultation instead of filling in the form! Schedule a meeting on Calendly and have a chat on Google Meet at a time that suits you. Milán will help you get started on your career planning with a 30-minute chat.
